The Hours... interesting. Let us all share in the
good bread that Sean has now baked and discuss the
ingredients later.
Could you put a voice file of the written text in
The Hours so that we may gauge your 'sincerity
quotient' and also to help some people in Empyre who
seem to have difficulty understanding that writing,
image, sound, and moving image are all kinds of 'text'.
It's an important point as a common language for
criticism as well as art production, one that can be
applied generally to the cultural institutions and
industries as well as culture at large, based on digital textuality rather than commodified 'digital content'
seems necessary.
BTW, I had the strangest email conversation with
Steve Jones a little while back in which he discussed
Harry Ramsden's mushy peas. Quite bizarre. Seemed
quite fixated by them. Perhaps he was providing an
allegory for the poor state of Internet scholarship?

Note: Harry Ramsden of Wood Street is the now
world famous Liverpool Chinese take out Fish +
Chip restauranteer. His Mushy Peas however are a
sign that a good night out in Liverpool has reached its
end and the return of reality. The mushy peas are to be
avoided, but Ramsden?s fish and chips are 'unmatched for
their excellence' and fuelled the 'early days' of English
internet art, scholarship and digital content industry.
Ramsden?s the choice of the Internet professional.
'Lovely' Steve Jones, Director Association of Internet
Researchers Feb 2002.
